HOW THE JOURNEY WORKS — STEP BY STEP

We have designed a process that is as smooth, clear, and well-supported as possible, from wherever you are in the world.

1.   Online consultation — The first step is a virtual consultation with our fertility specialist. Share your medical history and any previous reports, and our doctor will review them and speak with you directly — no travel required at this stage.

2.   Personalised treatment plan — Based on your consultation and history, a detailed treatment plan is created for you. You will know exactly what is involved, how long it will take, and what the costs will be — before you commit to anything.

3.   Initial tests — Where possible, early investigations such as blood tests, hormone profiles, semen analysis, and scans can be completed locally in your home country and shared with our team digitally. If that is not possible, these can be done at Genesis on arrival.

4.   Stimulation phase — There are two options depending on your circumstances:

Option A — Stimulation at home: Scans and monitoring done locally, results shared with our team remotely. Travel to Hyderabad for the procedure only. Typical stay: 3–4 days.

Option B — Stimulation at Genesis: Arrive before your period starts and our team manages everything from that point. Typical stay: approximately 2 weeks.

5.   Procedure and in-clinic care — During your time in Hyderabad you will be supported by our medical team throughout. We have multiple branches across Hyderabad and our team will guide you to the most convenient location for your treatment.

6.   Return home and follow-up — After the procedure, follow-up is coordinated with consultants in your home country under the guidance of our team at Genesis.

 

OUR STAY FACILITY — KOTHAPET

For patients travelling from abroad, Genesis offers a fully equipped on-site stay facility at our Kothapet branch, so that your time in Hyderabad is as comfortable and as medically well-supported as possible.

•     Daily doctor and nurse monitoring — Our in-house doctor and nurse visit daily to monitor your progress, answer your questions, and ensure everything is proceeding as planned. You are not left to manage your recovery alone.

VISA, TRAVEL AND GETTING HERE

Hyderabad is well connected internationally, with direct and connecting flights from most major cities across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, the UK, Europe, and beyond. Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is approximately 30–40 minutes from our Kothapet branch.

Medical visa — Patients travelling to India specifically for medical treatment are eligible to apply for a Medical Visa (MV), available through the Indian embassy or consulate in your country, or via India's e-visa portal. A companion visa is available for your spouse or accompanying family member. Our team can provide a medical support letter to assist with your visa application if required.

Getting around — App-based cab services are reliable and affordable across Hyderabad. Pre-paid taxis are also available at the airport. Book via Ola or Uber. Our team can guide you on the best options depending on where you are staying.

Accommodation — If you prefer to stay outside our facility, there are hotels at different price points in and around each of our branches. Our team can share options based on your preferences and budget.

 

DONOR EGG IVF

In some countries, donor egg IVF is not legally permitted or is subject to restrictions that make it practically inaccessible. India has a well-established legal framework for donor egg IVF, governed by the Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Act, which sets stringent standards for donor recruitment, screening, and consent.

•     Donor recruitment as per Indian ART Law — All donors are recruited in full compliance with India's ART legislation.

•     Detailed screening — Every donor undergoes comprehensive screening including medical history, genetic evaluation, and full infectious disease screening before being accepted into the programme.

•     Legal consents and affidavits — All necessary legal consents and affidavits are completed before any treatment proceeds, protecting both the donor and the recipient couple.

 

These steps ensure that your experience is medically sound, legally secure, and completely transparent from start to finish.

 

COMPLEX CASES AND FAILED IVF CYCLES

Many international patients who come to Genesis have already been through one or more IVF cycles elsewhere without success. If you have had a failed cycle and been advised to simply try again, we would encourage you to pause before proceeding.

At Genesis, when we see couples with unsuccessful previous cycles, our first step is always to investigate what did not work before. Repeating a cycle without understanding the reason for failure is unlikely to produce a different outcome. We focus on identifying:
